How To Create A Kodimerce Blog Post

- First, login to your Kodimerce admin site by navigating to the /admin path of your site (ex https://www.mysite.com/admin).
- If not currently logged in, you will be redirected to the login page. Login with your admin credentials. If you do not have your admin credentials, please contact your site administrator or webmaster.
- Once logged in, navigate to the "Blog" page by clicking on the sandwich button on the top left corner of the site
- Here you will see all your previous blog posts or an empty page if you have not previously created any blog post.
- Click on the create button on the bottom right of the screen
- Enter a catchy title for the blog post. This is meant to be a headline that catches the attention of your target audience. This is also critical for search engine ranking so it should have the main keywords of what the blog post is about.
- Click on the "Create" button.
- Now you will be prompted to enter all the details for your blog post.
- The Title should be pre-filled with the title entered before. This title will be shown on social media when shared as well as search engines.
- and Path should be pre-filled, you can modify it if you want to make it more user-friendly or shorter.
- The published date should reflect the date in which the blog post will be or was published.
- The banner is meant to be an image that is the first thing the reader sees and sets the tone for the rest of the blog post. The image is also displayed on social media sites when the blog post is shared. To add a banner, click on "Pick From Gallery". Here you can pick a previously uploaded image or upload a new image by clicking on the "Upload" button on the top left of the dialog.
- The meta description is a short description (at most 160 characters) that search engines will display below the site title that tells the reader what the blog post is about. This will also be shown when shared on social media.
- The short description can be longer than the meta description and its purpose is to give a small preview of the content of the blog post. This will be shown on the Blog page of your site.
- And finally, the content of the blog. Here is where you will enter the actual content for your blog post.
- To add images to your content, can click on the image icon of the editor and it will ask you for a source. The has to be a URL to an image. To get the URL from uploaded images, you can click on the "Browse Image Gallery" button above the editor. The URL will be titled "Preferred Path". You can also use URLs from other sites.
